It seems that these days, we are all full of subscription services. Especially now that we have to be quarantined because of the pandemic. Before the quarantine began, I had maybe like two subscription services that I was paying monthly. If I remember correctly, it was Spotify and Netflix. After 2 months, it seems I have lost count of how many I have because I recently found out that I was paying for a service I no longer use. For the curious, and the people that may be in the same situation as me, the service is called Unithosttech. They are a type of customer service plus subscription service management. I honestly do not remember buying anything from them, but what matters is that they have my details because I have some charges from them in my bank account. So, like I said above, just in case some of you are in the same situation as me and don’t know how to cancel this service, I took the time to write something that will hopefully help you. From what I saw on their website, unsubscribing isn’t that difficult even though I believe that their site doesn’t do an exceptional job of explaining how to do it.
There are 2 methods you can use to cancel their service
Both methods involve going to the Unithosttech homepage, so go there now. Once you are there, you need to click the link where it says “Memberships”, this will take you to a page with all the ways to login. Here you have to supply them a minimum of 2 fields, one of which has to come from section 1. To put it simply you need to, for example, use your email (section 1) and your username (section 2) or use the first 6 and last 4 digits of the credit card you used to purchase the service (section 1) and the username (section 2). Once you do this, you should be able to log in and see your active subscriptions, now just choose the one you want to cancel.
The other method requires you to use their customer service. I didn’t use it so I don’t know if it is good or bad. If you need to use it, go to the homepage and click the link that says “Contact Us”, this will take you to their page with all the information about their customer support. Here you are able to send them an email with any questions regarding billing and you can also see, towards the bottom of the page, the phone number you can use to contact them. If you don’t remember your login credentials, you can talk to them to retrieve that info.
That’s pretty much it, it isn’t too complicated but still, I hope this little guide has helped you avoid some frustrations.
